Agastya Siddha Homam

Performing Homam to Agastya Siddha gives freedom from material and artificial bondage. The ritual removes friction in family relationships and solves day-to-day problems in life. It also focuses on attaining Riddhi and Siddhi, wherein Riddhi means material prosperity attained through hard work, good karma, and god’s grace.

Adi Kumbeshwar Energy Centre is stated in the temple town of Kumbakonam in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It’s believed that Kumbakonam derived its name from the lord. It’s said that Lord Shiva constructed the idol which can be seen as a linga made of the nectar of immortality and sand. Agastya Siddha was a prominent figure of the temple, and it’s believed that Lord Shiva appeared as a divine flame to please him and the other sages who were his devoted followers. Goddess Manthra Peeteswari or Mangalambika, the consort of Adi Kumbeshwar is enshrined in a separate shrine on the left.

The shrine is also popular for the Mahamaham festival, and Abhishekam is not performed on top of the lingam as it’s made of sand. Only the base is anointed during pujas. The linga which is covered with gold sheets is huge-sized called Mahalingam and remains in an inclined position. Devotees visit the shrine to worship the Lord Kumbeshwar and Goddess Mangalambika to remove obstacles in marriage proposals, do well in studies, start successful business, get child boons, receive blessings of wealth, and fulfill wishes.

Sincere worship of the yantra grants Lakshmi ‘Kadaksha’ or wealth, Sakala Karya Siddhi which means finding success in all tasks, gives wealth, flourishing business, etc. Once you receive the energized yantra, place the yantra facing east, apply light a lamp, offer flowers and chant the mantra, ‘Om Soum Sa-Ra-Va-Na-Ba-Va’, at least 109 times to get best results.
