The eighth goddess of the powerful Dasa Mahavidya cluster is Goddess Baglamukhi. Also called Pithambara Devi for her yellow attire, the name Baglamukhi is the combination of Bagla and Mukhi where in the word Bagla means Swan and Mukhi means face. She’s eighth of the Mahavidyas, a form of Adi Shakthi. Prattling does not work with her because she knows how to control a waggling tongue that causes deceit in mankind. She helps to defeat enemies of all types – both internal and external. With the blessings of the powerful deity, one acquires Ashta Siddhi, all round protection, prosperity and stability. She’s also the goddess who can eliminate black magic, evil eye and bestow ultimate liberation.
