Legacy of Lord Hanuman and Sanjeevani Mountain

Once the differences between Lord Rama and Sugriva got settled, Lord Rama gathered the support of Sugriva's army, reached Lanka to recover Goddess Sita, after hearing that Goddess Sita is safe in Lanka, was captured by the Demon King Ravana. The Lanka battle started. During battle, Demon King Ravana's son Indrajit nearly killed Lord Lakshmana, using a powerful weapon. Lord Rama's brother, was fatally wounded. An herb from Mount Dronagiri (Mahodaya) or Gandhamardan, situated north of Vindhyas, on the slopes of Himalayas, is required to save Lord Lakshmana from Death. Lord Hanuman is the only person can efficiently do a quick job, as he has the powers of intelligence and strength. After reaching the mountain he discovered that there are many other herbs along the side of the mountain and not willing to be mistaken, decided to take the mountain with him. Using his celestial powers, efficiently, grew to its size, ripped the mountain from the earth in his hand to the battle field. This herb has an medicinal properties, an Ayurvedic medicine, which especially glows in the dark. Some of the scriptures say "Selaginella bryopteris, Dendrobium plicatile (synonym Desmotrichum fimbriatum), Cressa cretica" are believed to be the herb plants, which saved Lord Lakshmana, is a magical herb cures all diseases.  Lord Rama praised Lord Hanuman for his timely service, has saved the life of Lord Lakshmana.
