Chaitanya Mahaprabhu preached that the easiest way to connect to god is by chanting ‘Hare Krishna’. Therefore, people who were in their death bed chanted the name of the lord to attain moksha.

Once when Chaitanya went to Gaya Nagar in Bihar to perform his father’s Shraddha, he met a saint who requested him to call out the name of the lord – Krishna.
