Mokshada Ekadasi or Vaikunta Ekadasi is said to be a very auspicious occasion of worship of Lord Vishnu. On this day Lord Krishna in the form of Lord Vishnu have enshrined the Gita Upanishad to Arjuna on the war field of Kurukshetra who narrated 700 verse of sacred religious parayanam to Arjuna who was in deep distress and grief on noticing his close relatives’ kin and kith standing in the opposite side in the battlefield waiting the war to take place.
