Fulfill Wishes of Departed Souls

According to Vedic astrology, Dosha is a state in everyone’s life that comes with errors, negative effects or unfavourable conditions. The word dosha is taken from the Sanskrit language and means the above. Pitra dosha is an error or some kind of negative disturbances one faces owing to certain factors in the birth charts.

There’s a very strong misconception that Pitra Dosha is the fallout of wrong-doings or bad karma of our fathers and forefathers. But in reality it is not so. In most number of cases, according to Vedic astrology, Pitra Dosha is caused when the movement of the planets are not favourable. There are other reasons as well. This kind of error in the natal charts is quite common and is like a birth defect that’s quite harrowing in one’s life. Pitra Dosha also indicates that a person has not done enough for his ancestors and therefore they are unhappy. It can also result when a family member dies an unnatural death or if someone has not offered his respects to the departed souls.

Besides facing the ire of our forefathers, this Dosha also bring along with it other miseries like money loss, worrying court cases, childless situations, domestic issues, career imbalances and so on. By satisfying the needs of our forefathers who are dead and gone, we are blessed with a happy and peaceful life.

The yantra illustration is almost the same as in other pujas and it is faced in the east direction. The yantra plate needs to be purified and the priest must not be touched or disturbed. The yantra is worshipped with vermillion, rice and flowers. This is quite a long procedure and it includes installation of the kalasams, yogini pujas, sankalpas, Ganesha pujas and abhishekams, chanting the planetary mantras, tarpans, homams, donations and food to Brahmins and many more.
