Karwa Chauth, one of the fasing festival observed by women who seek the longevity, prosperity & well-being of their husbands and future life partner. It is very popular in northern parts of India. Married women dedicate this day to their husbands. Those who observe this festival are called as Sowbhagyavati which means joy & happy status of wifehood. The festival begins before sunrise & ends after worshipping the moon & performing pujas at night. Women observe fast on this day should not consume food & water for the whole day. The fast is broken after performing all rituals of that particular day. It is very important as well as a difficult fast that all women observe.
