Goddess Bhairavi is a spiritual incarnation of sustainability and strong belief. This is the fifth form of Devi Upasana, who abodes in "Kailash". The word 'Bhai' denotes fear, and the word 'Ravi' denotes 'terrorizing enemies'. Goddess Bhairavi is associated to Parvati (divine mother, Hindu goddess of Fertility), Mahavidya (Goddess of Great wisdom), Adishakti (first supreme power), Shivasakthi (mother of creation and destruction) and Mahakali (god of consciousness). She is a very powerful and intelligent god of supremacy, who integrates all departments controlling, managing and directing the functions of creation, knowledge gaining, power of supremacy, evil destruction and self-consciousness. She is ultimately called "Focused Integrator", duty bound and mediator. Her consort is Lord Bhairava, a supreme power, is a tantric god of Hindu, manifestation of Lord Shiva, fearful in appearance.

She is also called " Tripurabhairavi". The word "Tri" means three and the word "Pura" is stronghold, battlements, geographical location. She is a personification of desires and defeat one's life over sensual desires and guide them to the path of spiritual works and understanding. She is described in Vedic scriptures in different forms with four hands and three eyes, and a half-moon on her head and she is sitting in the Lotus, holding on the left lower hand a sacred book on Vedas, rosary on the right lower hand, left upper hand showing Varada Mudra, denotes blessings and right upper hand is Abhaya Mudra, denotes protection.
